Item 1. Election of officers

3rd Vice Chair: Italy (WEOG)

Rapporteur: Peru

The Plenary is invited to confirm the nomination of the Croatian delegate. No objections. It is so decided.

Sudan will chair with the support of the extended bureau.

Item 2. Adoption of the agenda and other organisational matters

Chair: Agenda item 6, Outcome of the Ministerial Segment, will be opened this morning, so that the Declaration is adopted immediately after the opening of the Segment. We invite the CND to adopt the agenda. No objection, it is so decided. We will continue consideration o this item on Monday, 18th March.

Organisation and chairing of the roundtables of the Ministerial Segment (‘Taking Stock…’ and ‘Safeguarding the future…’). Each panel will include two speakers (Member State & civil society) and up to 2 speakers from entities of the UN system. Each roundtable will be co-chaired by MS representatives from other regional groups. This afternoon’s roundtable, ‘Taking Stock…’  will be chaired by Norway (WEOG). Tomorrow morning’s roundtable, ‘Safeguarding the future…’, will be chaired by Mexico. Both will take place in BR-A. The co-chairs’ summaries of the roundtables will be shared to the Plenary.
