We appreciate the efforts of all partners here today and UNODC. We do acknowledge the increase in poppy cultivation in Afghanistan. But we also highlight that drug problem is an international problem that should be addressed through a holistic approach to tackle production, trafficking and consumption. We also acknowledge the financial difficulties of UNODC, but there is a need for further funding for counter-narcotic control efforts in Afghanistan.
