Morocco has participated in a number of initiatives in this regard. It has reinforced bilateral cooperation with a number of partner countries; appointed liaison officers; reinforced coordination and legal assistance. These programmes have successfully helped carry out roughly 20 counter-drug operations with partner countries such as France and Spain.

A regional office in Tripoli is something Morocco welcomes because it will increase cooperation in the region. Morocco is very aware that political will is needed to achieve this cooperation. The speaker invited UNODC to provide technical assistance to bring capacity to higher level.
