Referred to the triangular initiative, which is aimed at strengthening border cooperation between Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan. The main thrust is to guard these borders against smuggling of illicit drugs and precursor chemicals.

Within the framework of the cooperation between these countries, four operations were conducted against drug trafficking rings. Out of these joint operations, hundreds of kilos of opium, heroin and hashish were seized. These achievements have encouraged these three countries to develop their cooperation.
