The UN must apportion a greater proportion of the regular budget to UNODC. India has decided to contribute USD 200,000 to the Paris Pact initiative. India sincerely hopes this initiative will contribute to helping combat trafficking from Afghanistan.

There is, however, a need for better information sharing this field, and co-operation must be strengthened with the chemicals industry to counter diversion of precursors.
