We thank UNODC for its support to counter drugs in China. UNODC has played an irreplaceable role in helping to implement the treaties and delivering drug control assistance. China values the relations with UNODC and activelty participates in initiatives to counter drugs, in particular through the financial crisis. We hope that UNODC will continue to pay attention to drugs in the Greater Mekong sub-region. We support the lead position of UNODC and support the international drug control mechanisms centred on the 3 UN drug conventions and the 2009 Political Declaration.
